Obey God's voice equal destiny: 2006 mission trip to Jamaica -
19/02/2010
Yes, I did go to Jamaica on outreach. I thought I was dreaming when I arrived. It was a time packed with new experiences, new discoveries, and personal breakthroughs. I was and am overwhelmed at the fact that God had a plan and a purpose for me in this outreach and that he wanted to use a person like me to bless another nation. God taught me that He wants to be the main focus of my life. In order for me to fulfill my destiny, I need to obey God’s voice in spite of what people around me might think or say. I thank God for the opportunity to be a part of a team and with leaders who are committed to see me learn and grow. I learned much about teamwork and being a good follower. There is no way to describe the many valuable lessons I learned. I know that my life will not be the same ever.
Here are some highlights of the trip:
- Worship and intercession times together as a team
- My first plane ride
- Listening to and learning Patwah (Jamaican creole)
- wimming in the pool after a hard day’s work
- Seeing the ocean just before going to bed and again when I woke up
- Staying up all night thanks to cell phone alarms
