Legacy Movement: Aligning for Advancement

Hello wonderful friends and family.  Below is a little update from the Legacy Conference this weekend. This is only ONE readout from ONE night, and ONE point of view!  We may try to do another readout, more general… but SO much happened this weekend in the lives of the young people.  (Just check facebook if you don’t believe us!)  May God bless and encourage you as you read this.  Thank you for standing with us.

“And he said, “Listen, youth of Belize, and Legacy Leaders! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow go down against them.

With the increase of crime, teen pregnancy and HIV/AIDS spreading like wild fire, it’s difficult to see the youth arising in victory. We are the army He has chosen to displace the strongholds in this Precious Jewel.

You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Youth of Belize!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”

The LYM theme for this conference was “Aligning for Advancement”. Our hearts MUST be positioned properly in purity and power in order to see righteousness prevail in Belize. We must aligned our lives with truth and our hearts must burn with holy passion for the Lover of our souls.

And The Legacy Leaders bowed their heads to the ground, and all of Belize before the Lord, worshiping the Lord. Then the Legacy Youth stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high.

If only you could hear the roar of worship, feel the building shake as 180 youth dance before their King, seeking His face for the narrow road. But wait, they just wrote their own worship songs! They just stood up and PRAISED THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL WITH VOICES LOUD AND HIGH. They became “Legacy Makers”. No, we didn’t tell them how to do it, we just asked them if they would worship Him with the gifts that God has given them. No, it didn’t sound like “church songs” and it doesn’t look like a “dance”. Perhaps you would classify it as “rap” and “break dancing”, but our Lord received their worship, He received the dance as a gift of love and passion. He smiled. He knows the Way to Victory.

Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Belize; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made and end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

The Aligning has begun, (not finished) but certainly started. The praises have gone forth. The battle is being fought here, now, daily. The LORD is causing the enemy to turn on himself!

So when the Legacy youth came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped.
